In my bachelor thesis, I have developed a virtual reality application in Unity that simulates the effects of low gravity, as it occurs on the Moon's surface, on the human body.
This is done by calculating the forces that are acting on the body in the real world from the data provided by the VR hardware's sensors and an additional hand-tracking device. These forces are then converted to account for the reduced gravity on the Moon and applied to the user's virtual avatar within the VR environment. This results in an altered movement experience that mimics the sensation of a low-gravity environment.
